First Aid at Work

I offer a range of First Aid courses to suit the individual needs.  All of my courses are HSE approved and the qualifications last for 3 years.  I have a new blended learning system so can now offer online learning followed by one day practical learning. This allows for candidates to do the online course in their own time and complete the practical day afterwards to complete the course.

First Aid at Work (FAW)

-3 day (18 hours) practical course  

-2 days (12 hours) for renewals

-Online learning + 1 day practical learning

Candidates receive the Nationally accredited Level 3 First Aid at Work certificate. This is the same course offered by the Red Cross and St Johns. 

Suitable for:

This course is for those working in within high risk industries such as Construction, Hospitality events, Factories and Warehouses.

Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)

-1 day (6 hours) practical course

-online learning +1 day practical learning

Most common workplace First Aid course.  It meets the requirements outlined by HSE and the government guidelines. 

Suitable for:

This qualification is aimed at those working in the low risk workplace i.e shops, restaurants, leisure centres, hotels.

  • Roles & responsibilities of a First Aider

  • First Aid kits

  • Accident reporting procedures

  • Primary & Secondary Survey

  • Recovery position

  • CPR resuscitation

  • Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

  • Choking

  • Bleeding

  • Shock

  • Seizures

  • Minor injuries

  • Burns

FAW Course Content

All the above, plus:

  • Fractures

  • Sprains & strains

  • Spinal cord injuries

  • Chest Injuries

  • Severe burns

  • Eye injuries

  • Poisoning

  • Anaphylaxis

  • Heart attack

  • Stroke

  • Epilepsy

  • Asthma

  • Diabetes
