National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches
Who is this class for?
This is a supervision and rescue qualification for teachers working on the poolside or in the water during programmed activities such as swimming lessons.
What will you learn?
The training and assessment are divided into three sections:
Section 1 : The Teacher, Swimming Pool and class management.
Section 2: Intervention, Rescue and Emergency Action Plan
Section 3: CPR, AED and First Aid
Pre requisites
Must be 16 years of age prior to assessment
Be able to swim 50m.
Surface dive to the deepest part of the pool.
Climb out of the pool unaided
This course involves 16 hours over 2 days and the qualification lasts for 2 years.
Renewals: Need to complete 8 hours every 2 years.
